We’ll be highlighting some of these extraordinary guides and  giving a our community a glimpse into everything from their favorite memory on the job to why they first wanted to become a guide. We hope these spotlight interviews will help give insight into their contribution to the GB experience as well emphasize how travel can be used as a vehicle for cross-cultural connection and learning. 

Sri Lanka has a wealth of cultural and natural wonders. This teardrop-shaped island packs 8 UNESCO sites and 16 National Parks within its 25,332 square miles. We recommend planning at least a two week visit to do the country justice and see a number of its highlights. Most visitors route from India to Sri Lanka and begin their journeys from Colombo.

Ten years ago, we would often advise our clients to spend as little time as possible in Johannesburg during their South Africa tour. Clients would stay at an airport hotel for one night before moving on to a Kruger National Park safari or the scenic vistas of Cape Town. Some guests interested in history might spend a day visiting the Apartheid Museum or take a Soweto tour, but for the most part, the largest city in South Africa (and the second largest city in Africa), received a bad rap.
